Update

This sweet little thing had a Dr.'s appointment in Columbia this morning
for possible hip dysplasia...
And we are happy to announce that the Dr. couldn't find anything wrong! He said her x-rays looked great, and so did she (after doing a physical examination).
We have nothing to worry about!
I think Chris and I are going to sleep really, really, really, really well tonight. Phew!
If I ever did Facebook status entries, mine would read:
Carrie is: ...tired of getting the run around from Doctor's when her children are always just fine!
(I don't know how much more of this we can take!)

It's not Delivery...

...it's DiGiorno!
A few weeks ago I was on the computer and saw an opportunity to win a DiGiorno house party. I signed up, and lo and behold...
I give you our DiGiorno House Party!
First, I received this pizza box in the mail. It was filled with tons of fun treats and games, tons of coupons, and coupons for six free New Pizza and Breadsticks packages.
In one package, you get a pizza, breadsticks, and marinara sauce.
The pepperoni and cheese pizzas come with cheesy breadsticks, and the supreme pizza comes with garlic and herb breadsticks.
Here is some of the free stuff I got:
coasters, beaded necklaces, trivia questions, and a fun mini basketball game.
We also did the craft from my playgroup earlier in the week!

The guys watched the game...
(...we did watch the KU game, but it will NOT be discussed in this blog entry.)

We decided that our friend Kevin should be our DiGiorno mascot...
what do you think?

The pizza was D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!

We ate, and ate, and ate, and ate...

'DiGiorno Fella's'

'DiGiorno Ladie's'

Thanks DiGiorno, for an awesome evening with friends!

St. Pat's Playgroup

CHERISH TODAY!
(That was a fun MOPS activity Jill had us do one week!)
I love finding new ways to document my children's size and stature, so naturally thought his hand rainbow idea would be perfect for a St. Patty's Day playgroup.
These are the one's made with Alex and Grace.

(Please note the small child UNDER the table!)

The mom's doing all the work!
(At some point I need to invest in some 'kid friendly' scissors.)
I really love our little playgroup. It's so nice to spend time with friends and let our kids get to know each other. This week us mom's had some fun reminiscing about 'awkward dates'.
There were some pretty funny stories!

Let them eat Cake!

Look at all of these awesome hands!

Silly friends I like to call 'Irish' and 'Lucky'.

If you can't tell, we had loads of fun! Thanks everyone!

Ooops, I did it again!

While often stressful, I am coming to the realization that the successfully decorated cake can bring much joy and peace into a person's life. And for that reason, I decided that since we were having a St. Patrick's Day dinner, and I was hosting a St. Patrick's Day playgroup, that I would make a St. Patrick's Day cake.
It was only logical.
I was pretty happy with the results.
We celebrated St. Patrick's Day by having a 'green' dinner. Lots of fresh veggies, pickles, olives, pineapple chunks (with some food coloring)...and pizza.
It was a lot of fun! Dad liked talking to Alex about the color green and the different foods that were all the same color. It was a great family dinner.

An Easter Surprise!

We just found out that this cute girl...
and her adorable daughter...
...are coming for a visit!
Yay!

St. Patty's Day Parade!

Saturday was our local St. Patrick's Day Parade. We were all sooo excited to go and see all of the floats...but sadly, our lovely spring weather had taken a turn for the worse. Not willing to give up without a fight, we all bundled up and fought the cold to enjoy the parade!~

We kept the car running the entire time, and set the heat to full blast. Every once in awhile we would shut the back door to warm everyone up.

ALPACA!

Alex with his, "That piece of candy is mine, kid!" face.

I don't know what Chris had to do to get these beads, but this lady was DETERMINED to get some to him...and he was just as determined to catch them!

This guy was determined to give Alex a high five. Alex wasn't all that into it, but once he realized that the guy wasn't going to give up, Alex gave in. I was so proud...way to push that comfort zone.

Grace ate the whole time. And by that, I mean before this we had breakfast at HyVee where she ate for 2 hours. Then, came here and ate 2 hamburgers.
I think she did enjoy the parade too, though!
