Stealing Time

A week or two ago the weather was perfect, the leaves were changing, and the kids and I decided to steal some time.
After we picked up Alex, we went to a secret playground where nobody goes.
No one was constricted by deadlines, or dinner times, or winter coats.
There were no rules.
We listened to the rustling of leaves and the crunching of them by animals paws.
We did not hurry.
Everyone ran with nowhere to go.  There weren't any parking lots, moving cars, or roads. There was no danger. The freedom to run is fun to watch!
Mom took deep breathes in and out, in and out, over and over and thought of nothing else but how much fun it was to be with her playing running children and how much fun it was to steal time.

All of us felt peace. It was a great day!
